So what did you watch last night? The Red Sox fall below .500? America’s Got Talent (that’s still on right)? Reruns of whatever is on regular TV on Monday night?
I can not tell a lie. I was watching WWE Raw’s 1000th episode.
One of the girls I work with put this one on my radar. She said to me last week that Raw 1000 was this week. She said that there was going to be a DX reunion and that The Rock was going to be on the show. I decided I had to watch. If for nothing but nostalgia purposes.
I haven’t really watched on a regular basis in probably a decade. If I catch it on when I’m flipping channels I’ll watch for a few minutes. That’s how I know who CM Punk is.
Anyways….
The DX reunion started the show with Triple H and Shawn Michaels. They’ve done this a few times. But when Shawn ever said, there used to be more of us and the Road Dogg and Bad Ass Man Billy Gunn came out with X-Pac. It was like I was in college again. “Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, children of all ages….”
But I would like to say. I hate X-Pac. Always have. He’s useless. He’s like the runt of the litter. All these guys are entertaining and make me laugh…not X-Pac. He’s a little shit that made a porno with Chyna that tried to ride her coattails when she was on the Surreal Life. Turns out he was just a pot smoking, pill addicted, asshole. The only time X-Pac was remotely funny was in 1998…
Anyways. We got to see the Rock call some guy a cross between a homeless lumberjack and an oompa loompa. Which had me actually laughing out loud. We got to see cameos from Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Roddy Piper. Bret Hart did some guest ring announcing. But the one guy I wanted to see wasn’t there.
Stone Cold.
Sure we got to see him in a video game against Cena. And we got the recap of his feud with McMahon. But don’t you think having Stone Cold come out some time during the broadcast would have given the biggest pop ever? I think it would have blown away the pop the Rock got.
And really, enough with Triple H. I don’t find him funny. I find him annoying. We all know that in a real fight Lesner would destroy Triple H. I hope their match at Summerslam is a street fight or something like that. Let Lesner just beat the snot out of Triple H. But since Triple H slept his way to the top, he has so much creative control he’ll probably beat Lesner so he stays looking good.
It was nice to take a trip back last night. Great memories. Back to real sports tonight.
