Not That I Was Watching

So the Phillies won the World Series last night… wait what? It was rained out? Like the whole game? Are you serious?

OK, so the World Series was postponed by rain last night as the teams were tied 2-2 in the sixth.

Awesome. So a World Series that no one is watching to begin with is now going to be delayed till probably Wednesday. Tuesday’s supposed to be rainy too.

It’s pretty cool in the sense that every player that wasn’t used (think bullpen) now will have an extra day off to rest up, plus you can use your starters out of the pen if you want to go for broke. I’m still not watching.

And speaking of not watching…

The Bruins won last night. 1-0 in overtime out in Edmonton. That’s right. The same Bruins team that captured our attention last spring not only won a game, but won a close game in overtime. The team has three overtime losses on the young season so hopefully this overtime win will flip a switch for the B’s.

The reason people weren’t watching was more so because the late start time out west not because people aren’t interested. In fact I found myself watching the Bruins the other night just because it looks so good in Hi-Def.

My friend Stew posed the question to me, “Are you going to give the Bruins a chance?”. Well, now that baseball is over it seems the Bruins will occupy my time on the off nights of the Celtics.

And speaking of the Celtics, tonight they raise banner 17 into the rafters tonight. That I will be watching.
