Well for some of our Boston sports teams. I pretty much throw out the Sox dropping two of three to the Dodgers because they’re playing starters for an at bat and then it was single “A” ball.
We’ll start with the good which was the Celtics just showing off how good they are. They beat the snot out of New Orleans and MVP candidate Chris Paul. With that win the C’s became the second team in the league this year to beat every other team, the other being Utah. But this wasn’t only a statement game, this was a big “Fuck You” game to the national media. Saying that the Celtics couldn’t beat the beasts of the West and they’ve only come out and stomped them.

Is KG just laughing at Mark Blount knowing that he escaped Minnesota and Blount escaped too only to end up in a worse situation? Fuck you Mark Blount! You fucked the C’s cap after finally playing in the playoffs of your contract year. Waste away in Miami. Rot.
Then Sunday they got the night off. The Miami Heat and the NBADL roster came into town and allowed the Celtics to trounce them. So bad that the Celts held the Heat to 27% shooting and an NBA record low 17 field goals. Keep in mind when the season started that people questioned whether Boston would be able to hang with the big boy in the East like Miami (pre-Shaq trade) and Detroit. I think that question has been answered. Pretty soon the Celtics will complete the best turn around in league history as well as lock up the #1 seed in the East. Doc said there will be no rest for “the big three” even after they clinch. Good. Cut down the minutes like you did last night it the drubbing of the Heat and let Leon keep being your high man, as he was Sunday with 17.
Now the bad (well, not terrible) from the weekend. Your Boston Bruins. After I ripped them last Monday they took a home and home against the Maple Leafs knowing that their playoff lives were in danger. They continued the success against Ottawa on Saturday in Boston with some of the Toucher and Rich crew from WBCN in attendance. But this team came out flat on Sunday in Buffalo. A minute into the overtime the Bruins lost the game 2-1. Alex Auld for the Bruins had a great third period (yes I watched some of the game when the C’s were up 20 in the second quarter) making some insane saves. But the Sabres were that much hungrier knowing if they lost they’re out. Oh well.
Pretty much the only good thing about being unemployed is that when the Sox have a matinee on Wednesday, I’ll be able to watch in on TV, opposed to online waiting for ESPN.com to reload. It’s a great time to be a Boston fan and just like McDonald’s said, “I’m Loving It.”
