Welcome Pitchers and Catchers

No, not that kind of pitchers and catchers. I’m talking to the Sox pitchers and catchers. And not a moment too soon.

On the heels of the Patriots blowing the Super Bowl, highlighted by our Pro-Bowl offensive line sucking a Giant nut sack, it was comforting knowing that it was just 11 days till pitchers and catchers reported to Spring Training. The truck was loaded up on Saturday, with every TV station in the area filming, the departure made it that much more real.

The first workout isn’t until Saturday but for me baseball season has started.

While we’re talking about baseball, let me put it out there what a waste of everyone’s time it was yesterday on Capitol Hill. You’re telling me that McNamee injected Pettite and Knoblauch, they’ve both admitted to it, yet McNamee is mistaken with Clemens?Looks pretty bad for Roger and I think now more than ever that he’s guilty.

And I’m not abandoning the Celtics (41-9 going into the All Star break) but I just thought a post about them beating the Knicks, again, wasn’t that important. The team’s magic number is like 13 to clinch a playoff spot and they have 32 more games to play!

I’ll have a full Sox preview after they break camp for Japan, but let’s just say I’m stealing a page from The Guy, “I’m not worried.” This squad looks solid from top to bottom and adding a Sean Casey just solidifies an already solid team.

No idea what tomorrow’s post will be. Are the Bruins playing tonight? I’m sure we’ll figure something out (the royal we, the editorial we). We always do.
