After the Sox failed at the trade deadline to change the team’s entitled asshole identity, I got a text from one of my loyal readers.
Dude what the fuck red Sox! They didn’t bolster anything yesterday! They needed to do something and like always, they sat there with their thumbs up each others asses!
Calmly I reassured that all would be fine since we have the Pats.
He said he was psyched for the Pats and Bruins and to see TFB (Tom Fucking Brady to the uneducated) just light up the NFL.
Then I broke the news. Don’t be too excited about the Bruins. It’s likely the NHL will be locked out till January.
So there you go. A year removed from a Stanley Cup victory, the team was ousted in the first round of the playoffs. Now they may not play again till January or possibly at all in the 13-14 season.
My reader, Spinny, is staying positive, so I will try for the same but we’ve seen how awesome Bettman is before.
This affects Causeway Day! Not that we didn’t have fun the last time they were locked out but I want to watch hockey.
Here’s hoping they realize the sweet deal they have with NBC and don’t want to wreck the goodwill they’ve made since the last lockout.
