The positive from last night’s game? The second quarter when the Celtics showed up, dropped 35 on the Heat and went into the half down two. After a Miami basket was disallowed the C’s were tied at the half.
After that 11 point first quarter it was shocking.
That second quarter is where we started getting the sense that David Stern’s dirty fingerprints were all over this game. Garnett’s delay of game technical, the non jump ball when they called a foul on Bass, and of course Doc Rivers’ technical.
Seriously? Who’s the ref? A WWE official?

Ugh.
The thing is the Celtics don’t seem to be mentally tough enough to bounce back. Almost like a little kid. Well if the officials aren’t going to let us win, why try.
Where as the Celts used to step it up and want to win in spite of the refs. No so much now.
It was evident in the Atlanta and Philly series, if this team gets rattled by the officials they fall apart. Rattled.
I’m not saying the the officials are the reason the C’s lost. Well, not the only reason. Shooting 39% from the field and missing 10 free throws doesn’t help their cause.
So we can hope that the C’s wake up. Otherwise David Stern will get his wish and the Heat will stroll right into the NBA Finals. Hopefully to get crushed by the Spurs. Eff you Stern. Quit already. No one likes you.
