No Sir I Don’t Like It

I don’t know how many of you watched Ren and Stimpy when you were younger, I know I did. And for whatever reason this one line is caught in my head anytime I disagree with something.

“No sir, I don’t like it.”

Well, for today’s purpose I’m relating that to the beloved Celtics. They played on ABC yesterday against the Bulls, which means I had the opportunity to watch from start to finish. Doesn’t mean I took that opportunity.

See, I don’t like it. I don’t like tuning in and seeing the Celtics beating up on the Bulls. I mean, they weren’t really beating up, but they were up five and extending their lead. But this was on the heels of the Celtics losing back to back games to the Lakers and Raptors (who I saw live get drubbed by 40).

If you g back, I wasn’t in favor of re-upping the big three. I was never a fan of the idea. I said to use that money now, to get your team younger. That of course didn’t happen and the team is saddled with these contracts and veterans that some, myself included, thought would benefit from a shortened season but with all the back-to-back games there’s no way the team holds up.

So when I say I don’t like it I’m referring to the Celtics winning. I think the teams needs a nice lottery season. The way they’re built I think they’re a fourth or fifth seed that will not be able to keep up with Chicago (with Rose), Miami, and New York.

Being honest with each other, even if they somehow made it out of the east, I don’t think they can run with the teams out west.

So why not tank it into a lottery pick, trade Garnett and Ray Ray into more picks and just go young. Start your rebuild now because even in free agency with all the Bill Russell recruiting, free agents aren’t coming to Boston. So you’re going to have to build it yourself.
