Are You Scared?

Thomas at practice Sunday

Anytime I hear anyone ask the question, “Are you scared?” I think of the Kid Rock song, American Bad Ass. Before all the rap/rocking starts cranking the music comes to a complete stop and he asks the question. So to my readers, I’m asking that same question; Are you scared?

There are more questions in addition to that one but I thought that was a good starting point.

Do you think that the Bruins can still win this whole thing? I know the NBA format is different but last year the Lakers were down three games to two to the Celtics (I know it stings to talk about) and ended up winning the NBA Championship in seven. So even though NHL history says that the team that wins game five wins the series 95% of the time, the Bruins still could make history.

Looking at the positive in this series, Tim Thomas has been playing out of his mind. Sure he gave up a crap goal in game five but he’s only given up six goals in the series compared to the 14 that Luongo has given up.

The negative has been the lack of offense for the Bruins. Specifically the power play. We know they’ve won without power play goals but they were given so many opportunities on Friday night and failed to cash in.

So tonight is game six. We’re either going to all be very happy tomorrow and excited for a possible game seven in Vancouver or really upset that Vancouver hoisted the Cup at the Garden. Here’s hoping for the former instead of the latter.

Back tomorrow with a recap.
