Just like Walter and The Dude, the US Men’s Hockey Team has rolled their way into the semis. Parise was the man for the US team deflecting the first goal that ended the 0-0 stalemate and then added the empty netter giving the US team the 2-0 win and a berth into the medal round.
So Saturday the US Men’s Team will take on Finland and Canada will take on Slovakia. By all accounts this should set up a Canada/USA rematch in the gold medal game. Honestly I don’t know if the US Team has it in them to beat Canada again.
I know I’m jumping ahead with the assumption that the US would knock out Finland but that’s how I roll. My blog, my rules. It’ll probably end up Slovakia against Finland in the Finals and the US facing Canada for a bronze, but here’s hoping for that US/Canada rematch Sunday afternoon for the gold.
