Sure I could go into the USA Hockey game on tap for this afternoon against Switzerland. I could pine for Julius Peppers to come to the Pats. I could recap the Celtics game last night. I’m not doing any of those things.
Nope, we staying with the C’s though. One Celtics in particular, some say the translucent one, Brian Scalabrine.
My boys Toucher and Rich have Scal on every Wednesday in what has become White Boy Wednesdays. The trade deadline almost ruined the segment but he’s still with the team.
Long story short there was a wager made that the TARDS (Toucher and Rich Diehard Superfans) could get Scalabrine at least 250,000 All Star votes. If successful, Scal would have to get a spray tan. Shortly after the All Star team was announced Toucher and Rich had “The Sports King” call in with the announcement that Scal had received 250,008 votes.
So today at 9AM in studio, Scal will be going from his pasty white self, to oompa loompa orange (we hope). Right in time for a national game tomorrow night on TNT against the Cavs, Awesome.
Let’s hope he looks something like these two tanned douche bags.
