Can I just say how pathetic we are as a fan base that we get super excited by this.
Look, I pulled for Tim to be an All Star and was very happy when it happened but everything I’m reading is saying that he’s not ready. Apparently he can pitch just fine but can’t get off the mound to cover first. So what’s to stop the White Sox from just bunting all night?
The backup plan? Brad Penny.
I’m really trying to be optimistic about tonight’s game but it’s pretty tough with all the bad stuff I’m hearing. Tim not able to get off the mound and Penny who got smacked around last time out against the Yanks and was replaced by Tim in the rotation. So Tim pitches three and then Penny pitches three? What’s this, spring training?
I suppose the good news is that the bats are mashing. So even if Penny does have to come in for Tim it’s possible the Sox still win the game by putting up crooked numbers on the scoreboard.
