Sure the Cowboys didn’t help the Patriots on Saturday night getting their asses handed to them by the Ravens. Seriously two runs of 70+ yards allowed with three minutes left in the game? You deserve to lose you pieces of crap.
Come Sunday we were snowed in yet again. A lost weekend. Yet the Pats were kicking off at 1PM so at least there was TV to watch. As the Pats were beating the snot out of Arizona the Chiefs and Dolphins were battling in freezing cold Kansas City. Non stop snow at Foxboro saw the Pats up 31-0 heading into the half. Meanwhile in KC the Chiefs scored late in the second quarter to take a 28-24 lead into the half.

The Pats had the game at hand and there wasn’t much to worry about. Yet I found myself scoreboard watching, hoping to see the Chiefs carry that momentum into the second half. Well, we were half right. The Pats cruised to the end losing the shutout with about eight minutes left in the contest but winning none the less 47-7. Meanwhile KC had gone up 31-24. Yes, go Chiefs!
Nope, Chiefs couldn’t hang on and used their olé tackling technique to lose the game. 14 yard touchdown from Pennington and Miami wins. So that wraps up the one o’clock games giving the Pats little help. They took care of their own business, but Miami didn’t help them. Let’s hope Seattle puts up a decent resistance to the Jets and the Pats can get help there.
A blizzardy mess in Seattle. Seattle score right before the half and takes a 7-3 lead. Fast forward to the fourth quarter with the Seahawks nursing a 10-3 lead. Please don’t collapse, please don’t collapse. Then the Mangina had a brain fart. Instead of trying a 42 yard field goal to put the Jets within four after a penalty he opts to punt the ball. The Seahawks didn’t score on that drive but following a huge sack and a four and out Seattle was handed the ball on the Jets 20 yard line.
Wow. Some horrible play calling. This is the Brett Favre we have been waiting to show up all season. He’s here and imploding in front of our eyes. Seattle kicks a field goal and wins 13-3. All the help the Patriots could ask for at that point.
So what now?

Ugh. I feel dirty writing it, but we’re all huge Jets fans this week. Of course the Pats have to take care of business in Buffalo, but if the Jets beat Miami, the Pats win the division. From the outside looking in to taking the AFC East, it could happen. Let’s hope so. Go Jets.

Oh yeah, and go Jaguars!! Beat Baltimore!!!
