Well let’s see, Michael Phelps is 3 for 3 in his quest for gold domination at the Olympics. The men’s gymnastic team won a bronze medal last night (I read it on ESPN). The Sox managed a split of the White Sox series with an impressive comeback. After not managing a hit in six and a third innings they had some timely hits combined with walks and ended up winning 5-1.
Do I care about any of these things today? Not really. I don’t care that the Sox have a rookie knuckleballer taking the hill tonight (I won’t be watching). I don’t care what Olympic records could be broken (again, won’t be watching).
Jay, why won’t you be watching?
Um, it’s August 12th.

That’s right, the 20th edition of Madden is being released today (with shitmouth Brett Favre on the cover in a Packers uniform). So I’ll be playing Madden pretty much for the next 72 hours until I head north to Maine for some R&R before heading back to the workforce on Monday (likely no column Friday, but we’ll see if there’s WiFi in Maine).
So everyone run out to the stores grab your copy and see if you can find the next “Hacksaw’ Ron Duggans (a favorite WR in Madden 2000). Back tomorrow with some real sports.
Curse Duggans!!!! Jay, you’ve burnt me countless times with that evil bastard.lol
Please tell me the Pats are as close to a perfect rating as a team can get? I got to play the NCAA version and the graphics blew me away, I can’t wait to play Madden.
