Test Time

Photobucket

So my buddy JC sends me a picture of Skeletor yesterday comparing him to Arlen Specter so with my free time and amateur Photoshop skills I took the challenge. Not too bad if I say so myself. This guy should really let it fucking go. For the millions and millions of dollars the government would waste on Spygate, why not investigate the oil companies and why I’m paying nearly $4.00 a gallon for gas.

Since I already had a Spygate column this week, I’m not going into again. You can read my thoughts here and here.

I thought about touching on interleague play, but at this point it’s here to stay. The schedules are never going to be fair so we need to quit bitching about it and appreciate the fact that we get to see the starts of the NL like this weekend with Prince Fielder and Ryan Braun.

What we need to talk about is the hometown basketball team. In the West the Hornets couldn’t win on the road and the Spurs have forced a game seven, let’s hope the Celtics don’t allow the same from the Cavs.

The Cavs opened as a two point favorite and now are a three point favorite this morning. Makes sense. The C’s have yet to win a road game this post season and Doc goes into Don Cherry mode with his rotation. If only he dressed the part. At least we’d have something to talk about.

Tonight will be interesting to say the least. There’s rumors out there saying that the league wants a Celtics vs. Lakers Finals. Well, if that’s the case the refs are certainly not in on the fix. Hopefully Stern sends out a memo confirming the desired match-up and the C’s finally get some calls on the road.

The Cavs lost Boobie Gibson to a shoulder separation so that should help the Celtics not having him rain down threes on them. Now if only LeBron could roll and ankle or something.

So win or it’s back to Boston on Sunday for a Game 7. Either way, I’ll have a summation on Monday morning.

Go C’s!!
