Pats Sign Some Free Agents & Other NFL Stuff

Well the Pats signed Moss and the entire Patriots Nation breathed a sigh of relief. Now they’re on to signing other free agents.

First up finding an outside receiver to compliment Randy Moss.

In steps Jabar Gaffney back to the Pats. Rumors were they were working out a deal the whole time, but admit it, you were worried.

Next up, fixing the secondary. How are they going to do this?

They bring in a tank! OK not literally but Tank Williams, if healthy, can help the secondary.

The team also signed Sam Aiken to the team. Who? Yeah, so unpopular that I couldn’t even get a picture of him from the pros.

This guy is going to be a special teamer and according to Coach Bill, he’s really good at it.

The team also signed another former Bill, Jason Webster.

HA! HA! This guy is hysterical looking. Who cares if he’s a corner (which he is) or a waterboy? I can’t wait to see this guy interviewed, hopefully a lot with a mug like that.

Takeo Spikes was released by the Eagles. I know the team’s goal is to get younger at LB, but this guy was a beast in Buffalo and would do two things. Keep with the trend of ex-Bills (via Philly) and replace Rosie. He’s only 31 which I think is a better signing that almost 40 year old Seau.

Now onto the aforementioned “other stuff”. Brett Favre retired. I know you’re shocked and this is probably the first you’re reading about it. Well, he did, trust me. In fact here’s the proof. He cried like a little girl (sorry no video).

Also Warren Sapp retired. But no one heard anything do to the media’s love of Brett Favre. Come on! I understand he’s one of the top 5 QB’s of all time, but let’s move on. UGH! Every ten seconds on Sportcenter, Brett this, Brett that. Fuck off! Let’s move on to some better news like the C’s rolling, the Sox gearing up and March Madness around the corner.
