Believe it or not, Jay’s Sports Blog occasionally makes an error. Actually, Jay, makes an error. And when I make an error I am willing to admit my wrongness and post it here for all to see.
Let’s flash back to Sunday night as the Giants vs. Packers game was about mid way through the first quarter when someone commented on the fact that AJ Hawk was nasty.
In true ESPN, guy, fashion Da Guy say, “AJ Hawk, from…”
And Jay shouts out “Iowa State!” Talk about questioning your fanhood, that was a layup that I completly and totally botched.

That’s right, I confused Chad Greenway from Iowa (Not even Iowa State, if such a school even exists) with fellow Big 10 Alum AJ Hawk. In my defense they were both seniors the same year, in the same conference, both playing linebacker and where I think I really lost it was that Iowa’s team is the Hawkeyes.
But here in front of the dozen or so of my readers, I confess my error and admit Da Guy was right. All it cost me was $5 and a blog post. Sure beats rolling in the snow naked.
Yeah! I was so going to call you out on that too! DUH!! (hahaa…who are we talking about again?)
“Iowa State” he said. Over and over again. Emphatically preaching to the hoard of others, desperatley trying to plead with poor Jay. I gave him multiple chances to take it back, but stubborn is as stubborn does!
When asked… A.J. Hawk, FROM???! Jay says… “Iowa State!” Iowa State? I defy anyone here to name anyone from ISU(Seneca Wallace doesn’t count) Even while 4 or 5 people around him insisted he was wrong, Jay stuck to his guns, well more like water pistols at this point. Which I applaud him for. But it was like calling a stone cold bluff with pocket aces, and two more on the table!
Could you not find a pic of Hawk in his Ohio State uniform? And how long did it take you to find a pic of someone who kind-of looks like AJ, but has short hair. Were there no matches from ISU? I’m still smellin BS on this. I think you searched around for a pic of some dude that remotley resembles the afformentioned mr. Hawk. But couldn’t find anyone from ISU, so you cleverly moved on to Iowa U.
I mean, who the fuck is Chad Greenway? And who even heard of him before, until this little cover-up scandal. I might buy the Hawkeyes excuse, only the Iowa State Cyclones might not like that too much. Yeah, you’re feelin me, you love it! You little fraud. I would have made you roll naked in the snow as agreed, but it all fuckin melted at James’ place. You lucked out, but I’m still waiting on the $5 bucks. I got rent to make next week. Pay up! lol.
