A slow week sports wise until Sunday, despite the Celtics losing two straight for the first time all season and of course the Bruins being the Bruins. The “Hot Stove” has been rather cool as of late. The supposed Santana talks are just fodder for Sportscenter so we don’t forget about baseball. But the Sox made a signing last week that went pretty much under the radar bring back the Miracle, Doug Mirabelli.
Those of you who look strictly at the stats are missing out on the real story here. This is one of the funniest things I have ever read and still, I laugh out loud every time I read it. And yes I even purchased one of these because that post is that damn funny.
But why is the post’s title “The Miracle”? Well it’s not sarcasm like it’s a miracle the man still has a job, a miracle when he gets on base or even a miracle if he were to get a steal, no the reason he’s the Miracle is because of this.
So as you can see, this man is a cult figure here in Boston and I couldn’t see him suiting up in another uniform (you listening San Diego?). Welcome Back.

How can the Celtics blow it against the wizards? Suddenly they can’t win a game(who prediced this swoon?…..hmmmm?). “They are playing down to they’re opponent’s level”, or are their opponents playing up to the challenge???? Just like the Pats, everyone is circling their game vs the Celts on the callender. They have become a target!
That said, I expect the c’s to go 62-20. Which is a god damn miracle considering the 24 wins all of last year! They have played way over their heads these first 2 months. Expect a bit of fatigue these next few weeks. But also,… expect them to turn it on come March, April, May , and June! There are enuff veterans on this team to lead them through the mid-season fog. Dudes who have been there, get it, and know how to lead a team to glory! They are gonna gel together. Remember, 90% of this team had never played together until this summer.
So don’t worry about the Celtics. They are gonna shock the world. Be patient, and support the future world champions. Doc Rivers, coach of the Year, KG, MVP. Boston Celtics WILL win their 17th world championchip!

Oh yeah, I forgot to say… Fuck Doug Mirabelli! Is he really the only one who can catch Wakefield?….. I mean what the fuck!? Of the hundred or so catchers worth a fuck in MLB, is he the best the sox can get? I say….. NO! Do you think he might actually hit his weight this year? Is he gonna throw ANYONE out stealing 2nd base? Will he get thrown out at first on a single to right???! He sucks, thats for fucking sure! And I also just want to say fuck again. A new profanity record must be set.
With Tek getting older they need to start a “yout” movement at the catcher position. Sooner, rather than later, so that Tek can train the new young fella. Strapping young man that he will be…. fffffrrrunkisss. The single weakest link on that team IS the back-up catcher. And that said, I can deal with that. BUT…. do not expect me not to complain about his sorry ass! Cus I will, I promise!

You wait and see…Doug Mira “Fat” Belli will go down as a cult hero for years to come. Much like Scooter McGrueder and Alaa Abdelnaby, he will be forever entrenched in our hearts….
